Top 5 Travel and Local Apps in UAE: Q2 2025 Performance

The second quarter of 2025 saw varied performance among the top travel and local apps in the United Arab Emirates, with data provided by Sensor Tower. This article highlights the key trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for these apps.

Flightradar24 Flight Tracker demonstrated significant growth in revenue, rising from approximately $3.5K at the start of the quarter to a peak of $8.3K by the end of June. Downloads surged mid-quarter, reaching a high of 31K in the week of June 23. Active users also saw an impressive increase, climbing from 58K to nearly 150K over the quarter.

Wallet Cards | Digital Wallet showed a steady increase in revenue, peaking at around $483 in early June. Downloads rose significantly towards the quarter's end, with 404 new downloads in mid-June. Active users increased modestly from 292 to 466.

For Find my Phone - Family Locator, revenue remained relatively stable, fluctuating between $256 and $413. Downloads saw a downward trend, starting at 430 and dropping to 118 by the end of the quarter. Active users also declined from 489 to 224.

Travelfriend experienced a gradual increase in revenue, reaching $165 by late June. Downloads were minimal, with a slight increase to 28 at the end of the quarter.

Finally, the Couchsurfing Travel App saw revenue peak at $610 in the last week of June. Downloads remained fairly consistent, with a slight rise to 197 at the quarter's close. Active users showed a slight increase from 506 to 564.
